PHOTOS YOU'LL NEED

Here's the list of photos you’ll need to complete your book, depending on your type of adoption. Photos should be at least 300 dpi to avoid pixelation when printed.

Hint: Number your photos accordingly, and store them all in the same computer folder for easy access. When creating your book, you’ll see the same numbers as listed below to indicate what photos should be used on what pages.

Domestic – Open or Closed

  1. Photo for the book cover (something very nice) of your family with your child.
  2. Picture of family doing an activity (hiking, boating, on vacation, other) before the adoption.
  3. Optional: Picture of birthmother and/or birthfather.
  4. Picture of baby as a new-born.
  5. Two pictures of parents/family with new-born baby in hospital (or after getting home)/gotcha day.
  6. Very nice family photo with child (can be same as cover, or other).
  7. Nice photo of forever mother with child.
  8. Nice photo of forever father with child.
  9. Two photos of child engaged in a favorite activity with mother, father or whole family.
  10. Six family photos, including extended family, for the end montage.

International – Parents Traveled

  1. Photo for the book cover (something very nice) of your family with your child.
  2. Picture of family doing an activity (hiking, boating, on vacation, other) before the adoption.
  3. Earliest picture of child as possible, or as a new-born.
  4. Two pictures of parents/family with new-born baby at first meeting/gotcha day.
  5. (Profile, if possible) pictures for airplane, of people who traveled, and child.
  6. Very nice family photo with child (can be same as cover, or other).
  7. Nice photo of forever mother with child.
  8. Nice photo of forever father with child.
  9. Two photos of child engaged in a favorite activity with mother, father or whole family.
  10. Six family photos, including extended family, for the end montage.

International – Escorted Child

  1. Photo for the book cover (something very nice) of your family with your child.
